Friday - Biyernes
Saturday - Sabado
Sunday - Simba

You dont say lunEs in Pangasinan because we pronouce the E (schwa) as in HəR. The spelling above are all Tagalized or Filipinized.

Here are the "suggested / proposed" correct Pangasinan orthography.

Lunis
Martis
Mierkulis
Huibis
Biernis
Sabado
Simba

Thanks for adding some words

malagilion

labat - only

ey - this is unique in Pangasinan like the "ala e" expression in Batangas.

manaya - can be connotatively translated as "so it is" or a silent expression of discovery

example: sikato manaya (so it is him/her)

ok so I can say:

siakto so gawaen diay ed Sabado?

if you mean "i have something to do this saturday" then it's "wala so gawaen ko no sabado"

i need to translate this in pangasinense...

My Last Farewell

Farewell, my adored Land, region of the sun caressed,
Pearl of the Orient Sea, our Eden lost,
With gladness I give you my Life, sad and repressed;
And were it more brilliant, more fresh and at its best,
I would still give it to you for your welfare at most.

On the fields of battle, in the fury of fight,
Others give you their lives without pain or hesitancy,
The place does not matter: cypress laurel, lily white,
Scaffold, open field, conflict or martyrdom's site,
It is the same if asked by home and Country.

I die as I see tints on the sky b'gin to show
And at last announce the day, after a gloomy night;
If you need a hue to dye your matutinal glow,
Pour my blood and at the right moment spread it so,
And gild it with a reflection of your nascent light!

My dreams, when scarcely a lad adolescent,
My dreams when already a youth, full of vigor to attain,
Were to see you, gem of the sea of the Orient,
Your dark eyes dry, smooth brow held to a high planev
Without frown, without wrinkles and of shame without stain.

My life's fancy, my ardent, passionate desire,
Hail! Cries out the soul to you, that will soon part from thee;
Hail! How sweet 'tis to fall that fullness you may acquire;
To die to give you life, 'neath your skies to expire,
And in your mystic land to sleep through eternity !

If over my tomb some day, you would see blow,
A simple humble flow'r amidst thick grasses,
Bring it up to your lips and kiss my soul so,
And under the cold tomb, I may feel on my brow,
Warmth of your breath, a whiff of your tenderness.

Let the moon with soft, gentle light me descry,
Let the dawn send forth its fleeting, brilliant light,
In murmurs grave allow the wind to sigh,
And should a bird descend on my cross and alight,
Let the bird intone a song of peace o'er my site.

Let the burning sun the raindrops vaporize
And with my clamor behind return pure to the sky;
Let a friend shed tears over my early demise;
And on quiet afternoons when one prays for me on high,
Pray too, oh, my Motherland, that in God may rest I.

Pray thee for all the hapless who have died,
For all those who unequalled torments have undergone;
For our poor mothers who in bitterness have cried;
For orphans, widows and captives to tortures were shied,
And pray too that you may see you own redemption.

And when the dark night wraps the cemet'ry
And only the dead to vigil there are left alone,
Don't disturb their repose, don't disturb the mystery:
If you hear the sounds of cithern or psaltery,
It is I, dear Country, who, a song t'you intone.

And when my grave by all is no more remembered,
With neither cross nor stone to mark its place,
Let it be plowed by man, with spade let it be scattered
And my ashes ere to nothingness are restored,
Let them turn to dust to cover your earthly space.

Then it doesn't matter that you should forget me:
Your atmosphere, your skies, your vales I'll sweep;
Vibrant and clear note to your ears I shall be:
Aroma, light, hues, murmur, song, moanings deep,
Constantly repeating the essence of the faith I keep.

My idolized Country, for whom I most gravely pine,
Dear Philippines, to my last goodbye, oh, harken
There I leave all: my parents, loves of mine,
I'll go where there are no slaves, tyrants or hangmen
Where faith does not kill and where God alone does reign.

Farewell, parents, brothers, beloved by me,
Friends of my childhood, in the home distressed;
Give thanks that now I rest from the wearisome day;
Farewell, sweet stranger, my friend, who brightened my way;
Farewell, to all I love. To die is to rest.

can anyone help me?

Hello,
I am looking for somebody to translate from English to Kapampangan.
This is the article:

You arrive home late one night. That's funny, the lights are still on.
Suddenly, you hear noises. Laughter. You take a deep breath, twisted the doorknob open and hope that the noises were coming from the TV.
But no, the sight you were hoping never to see is what's in front of you right now. Your man in bed with another woman. Such a dreadful sight...

Familiar? The same thing happens to thousand other Filipinas.

To most, the journey starts out with a walk in the park, a coffee at starbucks, a midnight stroll at the baywalk, or an eyeball. Those few but sweet and very endearing words were all you needed to hear to believe that he was the one.

Little did you know you were just another one of his trophies. You were never the woman he would bring home to meet his parents. You were never even the 'other woman'. Hell, you weren't even number two.

The beginning differs with every innocent minded idealistic girl who sets out on the very difficult journey called love. Along the way huge hurdles open the girl's eyes to the fact that love is never a bed of roses.

The ending in every story is always the same. Guy gets girl. Girl loses guy.

The story is not a shocking one to the loyal patrons of heartbreak hotel. So why do they still go for it?

We all want what Cinderella got, a happy ending.

For tonight though, you'll be listening to a very depressing tune sitting alone next to the fireplace at a dimly lit room at Heartbreak hotel.
____________
You are free to change some words to suit your dialect. I am willing to pay 250 php nothing more nothing less for this. Pls email me at jeromeherrera2006@gmail.com

Hi Antoniette, i'll try to help you ok:

1. plowing- manbabaka, to plow- manbaka
2. fertilizer- bayubo, pataba
3. building- paalagey, building (verb)-manpapaalagey
4. parasite- sepsep, alinta (meaning that which sucks blood or sap from the host; although there's no particular term for parasite in pangasinan, ayon sa naaabot ng kaalaman ko, our folk just name insect/animal parasites individually). If referring to persons we may call them mailalo, minanawir, andi kakanaan, salot, makabkab, alinta etc.
5. cultivation- panagdalus, panagtanaman or pandalus, pantanaman
6. irrigation- paranum
7. vegetables- pisipising, vegetable- pising
8. nutrition- (no particular term in pangasinan) onkana ed abig/biskeg/ibaleg/idegkel na laman- primarily it refers to that which is eaten; or maong, maabig ya kanen (meaning- good or beneficial to eat)

I hope my expert kaluyagans will help out also.

Good morning Pinay! Yes there is a big difference between Pangasinan and Ilokano languages. These are two different languages because each have unique grammatical and lexicon system. You may search for the history or the evolution of these two languages thru the internet. You may go to Wikipedia.

I will try Roch, but really, can't speak abit nor understand the language at all. But am sure if i get immersed into the culture, could catch it quick and well. It could have been an opportunity for me and my bro and sis as our dad is one but he deprived us of learning and adopting is mother tongue.

Gud AM Aris! this is what it means: "ay, stingy(awet) this(yay) thunder(lasi) ay. for him/her alone what is sent for him/her. ag(does not) mangiapag(share)- i translated it verbatim, hope i helped you Aris.

lasi - thunder; in pangasinan this word is used as an expression of disgust or anger like: anak na lasi!- son of thunder!

awet - hardness; hard; stingy, in Tagalog- kuripot

apag - share

ag - not (a negative expression)

no problem... glad to help, praktis din yan sa akin

akasempet = nakauwi (root word sempet = uwi) "aka+word" is past tense while "on+word" is future tense (kaya yung sa previous question mo) onsempet = uuwi.

aga ak akataway ya inggata ya aba = hindi ako nakatikim ng ginataang (dahin ng) gabi. (laing yata ang tinutukoy niya?)

actually, we have a word "lagi" in Pangasinan which means "maybe"

she used the Tagalog words lagi (parati = always)

correct Pangasinan should be "inaro taka, wadya kan lanang ed pusok." (I love you. You are always in my heart.)

Hmmm very interesting. There seems to be no translation to this word "Mulmul" even in Tagalog. This is unique to Pangasinan. Yey!! more power to Pangasinan. Chew is not right because you break down the ginger into small pieces. If I advise this to my niece she might eat the whole ginger. Lick, savor, eat, suck are all not right. LOL.
